When calling during non-business hours you will be forwarded to a nurse advice line which we utilize in order to provide 24hr. access to health care for your baby. Your health care provider will be contacted as necessary and you will be provided access to the needed level of health care, such as phone advice or emergency room care depending on your baby’s needs.
We will want to examine your new baby at 2-4 days of age and at 1-2 weeks of age and occasionally more frequently if medically indicated. If you need to have your baby checked at other times, it is suggested that you make a sick appointment rather than come during walk-in clinic hours, if possible. This is to minimize your baby’s exposure to contagious diseases in those first few weeks of life.
